Visit Muiden, home to Muiderslot Castle and Fort Pampus (9.2 km)
The Muiderslot is a medieval castle in Muiden, North Holland, that remains in good condition; the ferry service to the 3 ha. Forten Island of Pampus, located in the IJmeer, also departs from this beautiful town. It was built as part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam to defend the Pampus channel against attacks from the Zuiderzee. The trip from Muiden to Pampus takes about 25 minutes.
